Our Leadership
The staff at Shoreline is committed to glorifying God with their whole lives by enjoying Him through worship, community, and going overboard in showing God's love to those around them. A quick tip: if you ever want to get on their good side, take them to IHOP. They love that place.

Scott Mehl
Scott
and his wife Lara have been married for over three years and have one son, Harper, who has become the apple of Shoreline's collective eye. While
Scott is the one who holds Brian together, Lara's the one who holds Scott
together, so she's pretty much the key to the whole church. Scott's hidden talents include Excel spreadsheet magic (he color codes them), playing with Harper, and single-handedly increasing Starbuck's profit margins. Scott and Lara's favorite thing to
do in the entire world is to sit down on the couch with a "Safeway
Select" pizza and watch eight DVD episodes of "24" in a row. At Shoreline, Scott serves as an elder, teaches, and focuses on spiritual development.
Brian Colmery
Brian moved from Danville, California to West LA to attend UCLA. He majored in psychology due to his affinity for multiple choice tests, but was very discouraged to learn that psychology is mainly concerned with rats. Lots and lots of rats.
Since then Brian has escaped seminary without getting married, discovered an addiction to coffee ice cream, and become one of the founding elders of Shoreline Church. If you ever need to find him, just look for the guy who’s always wearing pants and a long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Even in August. At Shoreline, Brian serves as an elder and teaches on Sunday mornings.
